2 Easy Holiday Cocktails

The holiday season brings with it plenty of opportunities to celebrate holiday cheer with a glass or two in hand. At your next holiday party, impress your guests with two easy holiday cocktails that will bring out everyone’s festive spirit.

As mentioned in our Global News segment on December 17th, see below for two easy recipes that you can easily re-create at home. If you are less inclined to make a cocktail at home and would rather indulge while out, Mrs. Crosby’s Tea House is available at Deer Lodge in Lake Louise and the Vesper Royale is available at Bar C Food & Drink in Calgary.

1) Mrs. Crosby’s Tea House:

The vanilla and cassis add a supple backdrop to the freshness of the green tea while the cinnamon adds in warming spice.  A perfect tea for the afternoon during the holidays or just before bed to send you off to sleep with a warm glowing hue.  Perhaps leave one out for Santa Claus himself instead of some cookies.

1 ½ oz Absolut Vanilla
½ oz Crème de Cassis
¾ oz cinnamon thyme syrup
Build in coffee cup with saucer with a small slice of orange peel.  Prepare Green tea in tea pot and serve alongside the cup and saucer (guest to add in tea themselves).

Available at Deer Lodge

2) Vesper Royale:
The Vesper Royale is a very quick and easy cocktail to make for your next holiday party. With only 3 ingredients, it leaves you more time to mingle with your guests. A vesper is not your typical martini with it featuring both gin and vodka. It is delightfully smooth and best served very cold in a vintage coupe.

1oz Belvedere Vodka
1oz Quintinye white vermouth
1oz Jensen’s Old Tom Gin

Shake over ice and double strain into a coupe, garnish with a square of lemon zest.

Available at Bar C

Happy Holidays! Enjoy Responsibly.
