The Nog. A twist on the classic eggnog cocktail.

Featuring bourbon and fernet branca, The Nog. is a twist on the classic eggnog cocktail that packs a punch flavour wise – and can easily be turned into a large batch punch for family gatherings.

The replacement of bourbon for rum offers a stronger, smokier flavour to the cocktail and cuts through the fattiness of the eggnog beautifully. Complemented by Fernet Branca, which is an italian amaro known for it’s healthful effects and has been recommended for overeating, hangovers and gas pains – so perfect during the holidays – the cocktail also includes maple syrup to make up for the sweetness lost with the replacement of bourbon for rum.

Make one, make ten. This cocktail is easily scaled up or down!

Egg-Nog-Cocktail-A classic twist on the eggnog cocktail.

The Nog. 

2oz Egg Nog
1oz Bourbon
½ oz Fenet Branca
½ oz Maple Syrup
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg

Add all ingredients over ice in shaker.  Shake until frothy and strain into coupe. Garnish with sprig of mint & safron. The garnish screams Christmas with its red and green adornments.
