In addition to all the amazing holiday activities and decorations in the area, one of the most enticing reasons to spend Christmas in Lake Louise are all the festive activities that happen right here at Deer Lodge. Sleigh Ride around the Lake

Through Brewster Lake Louise Stables, a winter sleigh ride to the end of Lake Louise offers a soul-cleansing sense of peacefulness as you breathe the fragrant air, gaze at the mountain panoramas, and enjoy your adventure. Traditionally styled sleighs, featuring cozy, upholstered seats and blankets to keep you warm and comfortable, will make you feel like you’re riding in Santa’s sleigh. Multiple departures daily. Indulge in a Country Christmas Experience

Spend some quality time with your family and enjoy a true Canadian Christmas with the team at Brewster Lake Louise Stables. Your evening begins with a short sleigh ride over to their stables, where a live country band will welcome you into a warm and cozy Dance Barn. All decorated for the holiday season, featuring a 16-foot-tall Christmas tree, the Dance Barn is a place for families to kick back and enjoy some western hospitality. For dinner, guests will have a true cowboy Christmas meal with baked potatoes and carved roast beef with all the fixings. The band will take you through the evening with a great mix of music with some line dancing before returning you to the Lodge. This special event runs on December 22, 26, 28 and 30, 2018. Ice Skating on Lake Louise

The massive Victoria Glacier and the snow-frosted Rocky Mountains provide the backdrop for one of the highest complimentary skating rinks in Canada: the frozen jewel of Lake Louise. Skate rentals are available at Chateau Mountain Sports, located off the lobby in Chateau Lake Louise. The rental store is open daily from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Ice Bar & Mountain Maple Syrup Experience

Stop by the Ice Bar out front of the Chateau Lake Louise lodge and sip a liqueur laced hot chocolate or ice wine in the beauty of frozen Lake Louise. Sample an authentic Canadian treat and create your own sugar pop. Hot maple syrup, straight from Ontario & Québec, poured over fresh snow and rolled up on a stick to enjoy as you explore our backyard. Outside fun for the whole family.

Christmas Eve Eggnog by the Christmas Tree 

On the night before Christmas, guests are welcome to join the staff at Deer Lodge to enjoy some eggnog and cider to celebrate the night before Christmas and admire the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

Visit from Santa on Christmas Morning

After a busy night of delivering presents to children all over the world, Santa likes to come to unwind at Deer Lodge before taking Rudolph and the other reindeer back to the North Pole. All the children receive a gift, and everyone has a chance to get their picture taken with the jolly old man himself.

Settle in for a magnificent Christmas Feast

Savour your time in this winter wonderland before Christmas Dinner is served in the main dining room. This special menu is created with the traditions of the holidays in mind but with a truly Canadian Rocky Mountain Twist. All our food includes locally sourced products and game meats that are ethically raised on our own CRM Ranch without steroids or hormones. Christmas dinner and breakfast on Boxing Day are included in the Christmas Package.

Ski with Santa at Lake Louise Ski Resort

Grab one of our direct shuttle buses to Lake Louise Ski Resort and see if you can you spot jolly old Saint Nick. He loves to ski at Canada’s Natural Playground! Santa will be out skiing with his elves and Griff the Grizzly, stopping for pictures and handing out candy to everyone on the Nice List. He will also be making appearances in the Lodge of Ten Peaks so be sure to keep your eyes open and ears listening for the jingle of his reindeer bells. The festive pair will also be on the Glacier Chair, Top of the World Chair, Grizzly Gondola & Sunny Side Carpets. We hear he can shred in the terrain park too. If you see him, be sure to should “Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!”

Relax in a Mountain View Hot tub on Boxing Day

Boxing Day is that day when you can relax without any worries and reflect on the festive season and be content. What better way to celebrate boxing day than in our mountain view hot tub as the snowflakes fall around you?  The hot tub is the best place to unwind after a chaotic holiday season and provides some of the best settings for your yearly reflection before ringing in 2019.
