Equipment is available from The Boathouse Trading Co, located across the main bridge by the upper parking lot at Emerald Lake Lodge. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets can be rented by the hour.

Did You Know?
The impressive colour of Lake Louise and Emerald Lake comes from silt-like rock flour continually being carried into the lake by melt-water from the surrounding glaciers. The tiny particles become suspended in the water, refracting blue and green wavelengths of light.
