Popular Trails Near Emerald Lake Lodge

Alluvial Fan Loop, a beginner to intermediate trail that is approximately 8km long. 

You can also drive to the Natural Bridge to ski 7 kms one way along the Kicking Horse Fire Road for a beginner/intermediate trail. 

The Connector Trail between Emerald and the Natural Bridge is an intermediate/advanced trail, which is approximately 8km long along the Emerald  River. 

Ask at the lodge or The Boathouse for more information about these nearby trails. Rentals are available for guests from the lodge. Complete your day with a warming hot chocolate with whipped cream in the lounge at Emerald Lake Lodge!

Popular Trails Near Deer Lodge

The Lake Louise Loop, is a 4.1 km loop that is double track set. Ski across frozen Lake Louise before entering the woods for a fun “up & down” trip. This trail is accessed by using the Fairview – Lake Louise Connector trail to ski directly from the parking lot onto the lake. Track setting ends at the back of the lake, as the trail up the valley crosses large avalanche paths.

CRMR's Involvement in Cross-COuntry Skiing

Due to budget cuts, Parks Canada was going to be forced to discontinue track setting the trails around Emerald Lake and surrounding area. Luckily we have reached an agreement to continue doing the track setting, as we truly believe these are some of the most beautiful trails in the world.
