Kicking Horse Mountain Resort Gondola
The altitude won’t take your breath away. But the views will! Relax, unwind and keep your eyes open as you climb over 4000ft! The Golden Eagle Express Gondola begins at the resort’s base. Step onboard, the doors quietly close then… a gentle rush of motion and visitors are airborne, soaring up the mountainside towards the alpine and mountain country.
Sunshine Gondola and Chairlift
Known as one of the most stunning alpine settings in the Canadian Rockies, Sunshine Meadows offers visitors unparalleled views. For the first time in many years, Sunshine Village will open its gondola and Standish chairlift on Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week this summer as well as long weekends starting on July 1. Open Summer Only.
Banff Gondola
Banff Gondola is located just 5 minutes from the Town of Banff, on the shoulder of Sulphur Mountain, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The 360 degree view from the upper gondola terminal, view-decks and Summit Ridge interpretive boardwalk, is unsurpassed. Safely seated in 4 passenger gondola cabins, visitors are transported in 8 minutes to the summit at an elevation of 2,281m (7,486 ft) above sea level.
Mount Norquay Chairlift
Built in 1948, the North American Chair remains one of the oldest fixed grip chairs on the continent. Affectionately known as the “Big Chair”, it is almost one-kilometre long 945m (3100′). This mechanical lift rises 396 vertical metres (1300′) past 13 towers.
Lake Louise Gondola and Chairlift
Guests enjoy a relaxing 14-minute ride, with the choice of a four-passenger open chair or fully enclosed gondola, to an elevation of 2088 m / 6850 ft. Incredible views of the majestic Rocky Mountain, wildflowers, natural springs and maybe even some wildlife are highlights of the ride. Open summer only.
