Directions to Buffalo Mountain Lodge

If heading westbound on the #1 Trans-Canada Highway (from Calgary or Canmore), take the first exit into Banff (Banff Minnewanka Loop exit), make a left off the exit and then take the first road to the left (Tunnel Mountain Road), which runs beside “Banff Rocky Mountain Resort”.

If you are coming eastbound on the #1 Trans-Canada Highway (from Lake Louise), take the second exit into Banff, and then take the first left onto Tunnel Mountain Road. You will see a sign that leads to “Tunnel Mountain Campgrounds.” Follow the road for about 10 minutes passing the campgrounds and we are the second hotel on the left.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge has a complimentary shuttle on the property for all guests staying at the lodge. Great for trips into Banff, or the surrounding ski hills.

For transportation from Calgary to the mountains, and around the mountain areas, contact Brewster or Banff Transportation or Banff Airporter.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge guests receive a 15% discount on the Banff Airporter for shuttle service between the Calgary Airport and Banff.

National Park Passes

CRMR owns three mountain lodges in the Canadian National Parks. Anyone entering the parks must purchase a park pass.  The rate is $9.80 per day for 1 adult, $19.60 per day for a family or group, or $136.40 a year for a family or group. Find out more from the Parks Canada website.

To purchase a Park Pass, please visit the Banff National Park Gate or one of the Visitor Centres.
