Primary Function

To supervise and maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the guest rooms and in all public places at the lodge.  To ensure all guest’s requests are handled promptly and courteously.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inform Housekeeper of all jobs undertaken and ensure daily communication within the housekeeping department.
  • As the Housekeeping Manager it is the  responsibility  for exercising initiative and responding to any emails or issues that require a response.
  • To maintain a very high standard when cleaning/checking guest rooms and public areas so as to set an example for housekeepers and supervisors.
  • Assist housekeepers by giving guidance in their performance if required by encouraging productivity, efficiency and improving in their quality of work.
  • Checking to ensure weekly/monthly checklists are being executed.
  • To execute  Payroll for the housekeeping department and other administrative paperwork needed.
  • Maintaining regular work schedule and delegate extra duties appropriately.
  • Observe dress code and enforce dress code for employees when necessary.
  • Keep an accurate log of all lost & found items.
  • Strip rooms for housekeepers
  • Help with actual cleaning of rooms when short staffed.
  • To perform other duties as assigned.





  • Previous hotel/hospitality experience preferred within Housekeeping or Laundry personnel.
  • 1 Year of previous Supervisory experience
  • Excellent English interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Other languages are an asset.
  • Communication abilities with employees of different nationalities
  • Highly organized and self- motivated.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to emergency situations.
  • Physical demands, sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs)
  • Will be required to work outside in all seasons (Winter, spring, summer and Fall)
