Sales Manager

Primary Function

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all sales functions related to the corporate segments of CRMR Lodges. The ideal candidate must have experience in Corporate Group sales and a strong ability to drive business development.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop new business within the Group accounts segment.
  • Maintain contacts and customer database in the Corporate and MICE market as well with industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to manage ongoing client relations, contract negotiations, and industry-related events representation.
  • Develop and promote CRMR’s product image and awareness.
  • Network with business influencers and decision-makers to enhance CRMR’s visibility and professionalism.
  • Conduct sales calls to key accounts and major prospects, ensuring a structured follow-up program.
  • Communicate regularly with the Sales teams, providing market intelligence and updates on sales activity.
  • Provide weekly and monthly sales target reports and attend sales meetings (quarterly and weekly).
  • Maximize and achieve sales productivity and room revenue targets through structured action plans.
  • Identify business trends and marketing opportunities to enhance hotel performance during need periods.
  • Build strong guest and client relationships by delivering personalized service and timely responses.
  • Support the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget, and Sales Plan in coordination with the Senior Sales Manager.
  • Represent CRMR at tradeshows, industry events, and major business functions as required.
  • Provide clear and timely communication, including special reports or event updates as needed.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the sales team.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a sales capacity within the hotel industry, with a proven track record of achieving room and revenue goals.
  • An undergraduate degree from an accredited university, college, or hotel school is an asset, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong negotiating and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Experience in preparing RFPs and group contracts.
  • Flexibility to travel work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Strong computer skills: experience using hotel programs such as Opera is an asset.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
