At Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts, creating an inclusive workplace is more than a commitment—it’s a core value that shapes how we do business across the Canadian Rockies. With lodges located in Banff, Lake Louise, and Emerald Lake, we are proud to be part of the vibrant Bow Valley region. We’re thrilled to share that CRMR has been awarded Gold status in the 2024 Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter, solidifying our place as a leading inclusive employer in the Bow Valley hospitality and tourism sector.

This achievement builds on our Silver designation in 2023, reflecting the significant work and dedication of our HR teams and leaders over the past year. We’re honoured to be recognized as a diversity and inclusion leader in the region.
What is the Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter?
The Bow Valley Workplace Inclusion Charter is a community-driven initiative helping employers create equitable workplaces that are inclusive of newcomers, diverse cultures, and underrepresented groups. The Charter outlines measurable actions that employers take to create more welcoming and inclusive work environments.
To earn Gold status, organizations must complete at least 14 commitments that promote workplace equity, support for newcomers, cultural awareness, and inclusive recruitment practices.
Why Being an Inclusive Employer in the Bow Valley Matters to Us and our guests
At CRMR, we operate in some of the most beautiful and remote parts of the Canadian Rockies, and our teams reflect the global nature of our guests and communities. We’re proud to employ individuals from a wide range of cultures, languages, and backgrounds — and that diversity strengthens everything we do.
A diverse workforce enhances the guest experience. When our team brings different perspectives and cultural understanding, we’re better equipped to offer thoughtful, welcoming, and personalized hospitality.
Building an inclusive workplace in hospitality means embracing those differences — whether that’s supporting permanent residency applications, offering flexibility for cultural holidays, or using plain, accessible language in the workplace.
These efforts help us create stronger, more resilient teams, where people feel supported and empowered — and where our guests feel genuinely welcomed.
