At Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR), our people are at the heart of everything we do. From the kitchens of our mountain lodges to our lakeside dining rooms, every department plays a vital role in bringing the vision of warm hospitality and locally inspired cuisine to life.
Our CRMR Careers Employee Spotlight series is dedicated to celebrating the individuals who make this possible; the chefs, servers, housekeepers, and managers who bring passion, creativity, and dedication to their work each day. Through these stories, we’re shining a light on the people who bring CRMR to life, and the rewarding opportunities that come with being part of this family of properties.
This month, we’re proud to feature Tiffany Lucarelli, Chef Tournant at The Lake House in Calgary, whose journey with CRMR exemplifies both growth and artistry in the culinary world
Meet Tiffany Lucarelli, Chef Tournant at The Lake House
If you’ve spent any time at The Lake House in Calgary, chances are you’ve crossed paths with one of Tiffany’s creations.
Tiffany joined Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts back in 2015 as a part-time line cook and pastry chef, and has since worked her way into the role of Chef Tournant, balancing the world of lunch service and pastries with her trademark calm and good humor.
Her culinary dream started early; at the age of six, she wanted to be a baker at McDonald’s. Inspired by her Grama’s baking, Tiffany went on to study at the Art Institute in Houston and later at SAIT in the Bakery Program.
From Pastry Dreams to Culinary Leadership
Tiffany’s proudest CRMR moment came when she helped open The Loft, a former CRMR property, where she ran the entire pastry program and even stepped in as Assistant Manager. Around The Lake House, she’s known for her creativity, her ability to juggle both savory and sweet work, and her quiet leadership that keeps things running smoothly – even during the busiest lunch rush.
When she’s not whisking, baking, or plating something delicious, Tiffany is a full-time mom of two busy boys. Her multitasking skills are Olympic level both at home and at work, and her ability to balance family life with culinary excellence is something her team deeply admires.
Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Chefs
Her advice to newcomers in the industry is simple but profound:
“Listen, work hard, be open to learning, and don’t take criticism too personally – this job takes passion and grit every single day.”
And if she could hop on a plane right now? She’d be heading straight for a pizza in Naples.
