Hike the beautiful trails in Banff & Yoho National Park
Around Banff and Yoho National Park, there are a number of hikes that are great for any skill and fitness level. If mom is someone who enjoys spending time adventuring outdoors and experiencing beautiful Rocky Mountain views, these hikes are for her:
Just a stone’s throw away from Buffalo Mountain Lodge, this switch-back trail gives hikers the ability to climb to the summit of Tunnel Mountain in the heart of Banff. Less daunting than other the surrounding peaks, Tunnel Mountain provides breathtaking views of the Bow Valley and area.
The popular Hamilton falls is a 1.6 km out-and-back trail that will lead you along the waters of Hamilton Creek for views of a beautiful waterfall. The trail begins near the Emerald Lake day parking lot and will expose you to some of the beautiful forest views of Yoho National Park. This is a popular area for hiking and walking in the area and is suitable for all skill levels.
This trail begins from the stunning shore of Lake Louise and wraps around the back and provides a more family-friendly way to view the scenery. This is also the perfect starting point for many nearby hikes such as the Lake Agnes Trail, Fairview Lookout or Plain of Six Glaciers.
