Overnight Security/Night Driver

Primary Function

Provide security and driver services overnight to ensure safety and support operations.

Housing Manager & Hotel Manager

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct hourly security patrols of entire staff accommodation property to monitor noise levels, ensure no unauthorized guests, check for safety risks, enforce quiet hours after 11PM.
  • Perform frequent security rounds through hotel lobby, corridors, public areas, and grounds to ensure doors are secured, respond to any noise complaints or disturbances, act on any safety risks.
  • Drive the staff and guest shuttle on demand overnight as needed, transporting employees safely between accommodations and the hotel.
  • Greet and engage with any staff or guests encountered during overnight shift, provide customer service and promote safe behaviors.
  • Record and report any incidents, damages, risky behaviors, or policy violations to management.
  • Monitor and control access to staff accommodations by checking-in visitors and maintaining security protocols.
  • Assist intoxicated or sick staff members by arranging safe transport and notifying proper authorities.
  • Provide emergency response assistance to staff/guests for any overnight accidents, injuries, urgent issues.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and composure at all times in response to security incidents.
  • Other overnight security and driver duties as assigned by management.
Experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract required.
  • A mature individual with the ability to command respect.
  • Previous experience in security-related roles.
  • BC Security Guard Training or other relevant qualification preferred.
  • Customer service oriented with ability to diffuse situations and maintain composure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to monitor properties for security risks.
  • Willingness to educate and enforce security protocols.
